About Parrot Family / Papegaai Familie
Parrot Family was established to create a platform where the community can come to learn more about taking care of their parrots. Our Mission is to create a support network where we all assist each other where needed by sharing parrot related help. Many people these days have to say goodbye to their beloved feathered children for various reasons and this is where we step in to try and assist them in whatever manner we can. We focus on making the maximum positive effort for our community. Our members and volunteers provide the momentum that helps us affect change. Using data driven models, we provide solutions that make a long-lasting difference. Parrot Family has facilities in Benoni, Gauteng where we are able to temporarily take in parrots that may need rehabilitation before we find them a suitable home. Parrots in our care are all fed healthy diets and supplied with all the enrichment toys and human interaction as possible daily.
