SPORT was started by Mr ESD Macdonald (more popularly known as ELVIS). He got a permit from his father and put it on a Yellow Toyota Corolla. It all started off at the Mowbray taxi rank. The rank was mainly occupied by combi taxis and the Yellow sedan taxi was constantly blocked. Elvis had bought his mother's house in Milnerton but was convinced to sell the house by an estate agent he had met at the time. He thought Sea Point would offer better opportunities from a business perspective. Elvis (who previously worked at another taxi company), thought that it would be a good idea to start a taxi business in Sea Point. He applied for 3 permits from the road transportation board. His application was successful and all he now had to do was get the traffic department's approval. After much "red tape" the applications were approved and in Septem
