Richard Levi – Proteas Cricketer

By: Wynberg Boys' High School  11-11-2011

WBHS congratulates our latest addition to the Green and Gold. Richard Levi (WBHS and Cape Cobras) was announced in the South African T20 Squad to take on the Australians at Newlands on October 13th.

After an illustrious school career, where he has a number of ‘century trees’ planted around the Jacques Kallis Oval, this talented 23 year old cricketer has gone on to score piles of runs for the Cape Cobras.

May this be the beginning of a memorable international career. Wynberg will be out in force at Newlands to support one of their favourite sons.

This is an annual project undertaken exclusively by Grade 8 learners and involves fund-raising in the first instance, to finance and then build a house for a family in a disadvantaged community.

Every year, the third year and Honours student teams in the Department of Information Systems at UCT, develop unique software solutions for real-life businesses. The main aim of these projects is to expose students to the rigours of developing information systems and managing projects. This tea is traditionally a gift to the Matrics from the Grade 11 mothers and we would like to continue this tradition.
