of wine.  The  Crouchen Blanc  vine   in the  Heritage
Hotel  courtyard  has recently been harvested by Kyle Zulch of
Signal Hill Vineyard

World Cup 2010 « Wine Tours Stellenbosch – the heart of the Cape Winelands

The R 4,5 billion stadium has had all its seats installed, the grass pitch has been grown from seeds planted 3 weeks ago, the outer facade has been re-cleaned and painted after the storms earlier this month dirtied some of the exterior, and the signage erected, all in time for the roof-wetting party. The new Cape Town Stadium has been completed and handed over by the building contractors to the City of Cape Town, reports the Cape Argus.

Planted around 1781 the vine still flourishesand due to vigorous pruning each year bears enough grapes for about 20 litresof wine. Spier Wines excelled at the 20th Veritas Awards for the second consecutive year with five double gold and two gold medals.
