Veritech also offer various options on kitchen extract systems with optional secondary filtration units for removal of odour and kitchen fumes to such an efficiency that the air can be circulated or discharged on low level without creating a nuisance.
The design of the filtration unit complies with the following beneficial criteria:
- Long ducting units in high rise buildings are eliminated with the use of these units
- System can be moved or re-located in most configurations
- Filtration elements fire proof
- Unit easily serviceable
- Unit safe and hygiene to use
- Ideal for small kitchens
Limitations with these units are:
Only suitable for light type cooking operations with no use of gas fired equipment as unacceptable high levels of CO2 can occur. Suitable air conditioning with adequate fresh air supply should be available, additional heat load generated by cooking equipment must preferably be handled by fresh air input and extract in cooking equipment area.
Low level exhaust applications:
Where an outside wall is available extract air can be exhausted at low level without any nuisance to other building tenants or general public. This option is a popular application in modern high rise buildings and sensitive areas like nature reserves and hospitals. Gas fired cooking equipment (not open flame grilling) can be used with this option. Cooking equipment heat load is removed with extract air as per conventional systems.
