The StarLink family of Point-to-Point microwave products is based on Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms that are packaged to suit most customer demands. The SL-30 system consists of a pair of high-capacity, integrated outdoor units housed in a durable cast aluminium housing that contains all the RF and networking elements (including layer 3 routing) to establish carrier class connections and networks. The TDD channel raster is programmable, ranging from 5 MHz channels to 20MHz channels depending on the data throughput required and the available spectrum.

Point to Point

It can be mounted directly onto the antenna by using a snap-on mount, or it can be mounted separately and connected to the antenna by using a standard UBR flange series waveguide. The StarLink PDH Microwave System’s payload is software definable and supports capacities up to 24 E1 / T1 lines and Ethernet full duplex capacity up to 60 Mbps.

Point to Multipoint

This “time slot” method of provisioning clients eliminates hidden node collisions and maximizes airtime efficiency, providing magnitudes of performance improvements in latency, throughput and scalability when compared with other outdoor systems in its class. The StarGate Mk-II point-to-multipoint radio is a hi-power, linear 2x2 MIMO radio with enhanced receiver performance.
