DBI's ACCOUNTING and GENERAL LEDGER System
The DBI Accounting and General Ledger System is the most advanced system available, and can adapt to any infrastructure, be it a simple little one-man operation or a conglomerate of multiple corporations spread across the whole world. The hierarchy is defined by the Accounting Departments with a clearly defined parent/subordinate relationship of the flow of earnings, expenditure, assets and liabilities from the initial posting level right up to the Balance Sheet stage. At any point can budgets be implemented. The budgets can be a monetary value or a quantity - or both. These budgets can also be revised at any time during a "book year". A history of budgets and revisions are kept for ever.No figures within the hierarchy can be altered or tampered with unless done so with a posting level transaction.Any report can be asked for at any time.Cost splitting or re-allocations can be performed unlimited ways - by percentages, an actual amount, or by applying any scientific formula - and using any statistical data or quantities. All transactions from costing systems, earnings systems, assets systems and liability systems, when posted, are immediately imploded up the hierarchy right up to Balance Sheet stage level. In other words - the Balance Sheet will always be up-to-date at any point in time of the Company's operation. The same can be said for Corporations.Reporting can be on posting level, on any summary level, on Cost Centre level, on Department level, on Section level, on Company level or Corporation level. All postings and General Ledger entries and Balance Sheets are kept historically for ever and are digitally archived in an easily retrievable manner for future reference.
All report layouts are totally under the control of the Accountant.
