Sapphire Flame Retardant is easily applied by spraying or vat dipping. No special equipment is required. Articles to be treated should be laundered or dry-cleaned before the flame retardant is applied. When applied by spray, ensure definite penetration of the fibres but do not saturate. It is only necessary to spray on one side of the fabric, usually the back, unless the material is heavy or if it is lined, as with drapes. In this case, it should be sprayed on both sides. Sprayed articles can be allowed to dry naturally and then pressed, or drying can be accomplished during pressing or any other finishing operation.
