Tendril BA, PM and UX - no BS
Communication is the most important factor when managing a project that utilises varying skills and disciplines. Each member of the project has their own agenda and the role of a PM is to facilitate that communication in such a way that all agendas are met.
Managing deadlines without compromising on quality requires an understanding of the work going into the project, so experience in Design and Development are essential but even more so is the ability to problem solve.
My preference is to use SCRUM methodologies as opposed to the waterfall methodology, and adapt them to the team and the project. The agile SCRUM methodology encourages communication and transparency throughout the process and enables the business owner to understand the process and track the progress.
This way of working also allows for the fluidity required when working within a constantly evolving space.
