Parliament computers upgraded to Windows 2000
Major Technology Group (MTG) was awarded the contract to upgrade all the Compaq Epa desktops to Windows 2000 from Windows NT. The rollout was done in October 2002 in conjunction with the Parliament IT staff.Norton Ghost was used in the rollout process. An image of the operating system and all complimentary software was loaded on the file server. This image was then pulled across and installed on the client machine. The entire process took roughly between 30 - 45 minutes per PC for a total of +- 400 PCs. The entire project took +- 2 weeks.The following two weeks was spent doing follow-ups on the upgrade ie. changing user settings.
