We were asked to erect a 20mtr x 30mtr structure to stand in Namibia and act as a temporary departure lounge for the Airport there for the next two years. We would not claim this was our best work done but due to the harsh desert like conditions as well as corrosive sea mists, we relished the challenge and faced it head on.
There were various adaptations we had to make to our existing structures and there were a few extras that were required. We double anodised and galvanized all Aluminium and steel components as well as adding custom made vents into the gables which can be worked with a pulley system to stop the ingress of the dust like desert sands. We also installed a mixture of walls to include Aluminium and glass, ABS and PVC as well as Aluminium double doors with emergency exit devices.
It took our team of five men a mere 5 days to complete the installation and the Architect was more than impressed.
Overall, a job well executed.
