CORDS extrudes telecommunications and data cable with small conductors (the bulk of which consists of 26AWG, or 0.16 mm2 copper tinsel) with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) cable insulation, in a variety of colours. The most popular cable variant we manufacture to order is a 4-core flat telecommunications cable (using copper tinsel conductors), in black and cream; and we do a number of round cable formats, to a maximum of a 10mm outer diameter. Tinsel cable made from PVC is optimised for usage in coiled cable segments (e.g. telephone handset cords, or RS232 applications where a retractile cord is required) where conductor shielding is NOT required. Standard PVC cable made up with standard stranded copper conductors cannot be coiled as the coiled assembly cannot retain a retractile memory. CORDS is able to source specialised polyurethane cable which has the ability to retain a retractile memory if this is required (which can be screened).
