Would you like to broaden your organisation’s leadership repertoire with the instrument of coaching? Would you like to increase your employees’ professionalism regarding internal process facilitation, mentoring, consulting and human resource development by acquiring coaching techniques?

 

If this is the case, our training cycle offers the opportunity to get to know coaching as an instrument for case-specific or medium-term support, and to increase managers’ coaching skills.

Whether participants of this training are executives, human resource development consultants, process facilitators and change agents, consultants (internal/ external) or mentors: coaching has become a useful tool in the support and development of autonomous employees within an organisation. 

The goal of this training cycle is to introduce participants to the theory and practice of coaching, and to enable them to conduct coaching conversations. Our seminars consist of short lectures and small group work, practical exercises and case studies, as well as cascade supervision and phases of self reflection.

Depending on the target group and depth of the programme it can be:

  • 2 modules x 2 days, min of 6 and max of 12 people – for e.g skills for managers
  • 4 modules x 3 days, min 6 and max of 12 people – intensive programme for e.g HR professionals

During the training, the following will be covered:  

·      Leadership and responsibility: defining meaning for a person’s life

·      Learning: types of learning, learning techniques, learning preferences

·      Vision and goal-setting

·      Understanding coaching as opposed to other forms of guidance

·      Role as a coach

·      Designing coherent coaching processes

·      Communication as a coach

·      Steering coaching sessions

·      Toolbox: Systemic questions, working with “personal resources”

·      Reflection on practical coaching cases

·      Personal imprints: e.g. culture, religion, family

·      Coaching in different life phases

·      Support of coherent and harmonious life scripts in coaching

·      Toolbox: Career development and decision-making coaching tools

·      Reflection on practical coaching cases

·      Working and coaching in a diverse environment

·      Dealing with change

·      Reflection on behavioural patterns

·      Toolbox: the individual in his/ her environment

Modules take place over a period of 3-4 months for 2 modules and 6-8 months for 4 modules; the start of the training cycle will be arranged according to the organisations’ needs and schedule.

Facilitators

Facilitators are highly experienced facilitators, leaders and executive coaches of CONTRACT South Africa. The modules will be co-led by two facilitators to ensure maximum learning and exposure to different fields of experience.
