HERE IS A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THE SERVICES WE PROVIDE:

Telephonic counselling –

Via our toll free number, TraumAssist offers telephonic trauma counselling by specialist trauma counsellors.

We are based in a 200 seat call centre in Midrand and available 24/ 7/ 365. Upon calling, a member will be greeted by a counsellor.

The member may be in need of telephone counselling which the online counsellor will provide as needed. If, however, the client is in need of face-to-face counselling the call will be redirected to our nearest and most appropriate trauma-counselling centre or counsellor.

Face to face counselling –

If face-to-face debriefing is required the counsellor will redirect the caller to the nearest trauma centre who will arrange for face-to-face debriefing. The face-to-face counsellor will be selected to be age, sex and culturally appropriate. The counsellors will travel to the client if needed.

TraumAssist have both trauma counselling centres and individual, professionally trained clinicians within our network.

The TraumAssist counselling centres mostly operate independently and have between 5 to 120 counsellors per centre.

The primary function of the centres is Trauma related cases.

The counsellors specialize in trauma debriefing and support.

Centres offer both debriefing and legal support.

TraumAssist, along with our partners offer long term, short term or emergency counselling services.

Within our network we have formed alliances with organizations like POWA, FAMSA, GRIP and the Teddy Bear Clinic, to assist us should the need arise.

Counselling services include telephonic, face-to-face, couple and group therapy.

The legal services include: - Para-legal advice, correspondence with police about the case, advice from a lawyer, court room preparation for survivors/witnesses, assistance in obtaining interdict/protection order, accompaniment to ID parade, accompaniment to court.

All centres have undergone a stringent assessment process and have attained recognition through the high quality of service they provide.
