FORAX-HARC communication systems put your antennas high overhead on a tethered aerostat or tower top, implementing the aerial layer while the radios remain securely and conveniently on the ground, in the Tactical Operations Center or Command Post.
Aerostat-mounted and tower-top FORAX-HARC systems enhance the aerial layer because they:
• Increase data rates by avoiding an extra network hop
• Overcome line-of-sight obstacles
• Extend the range of radio communications
• Cover "the last tactical mile"
Waveforms currently supported include SINCGARS, ANW2 (PRC-117G), EPLRS, SRW (PRC-153 and PTC-154), WNW (Ground Mobile Radio and Low Cost Radio System (LCRS)), and cellular systems including UMTS 3G/4G. New waveforms and radio types are being continually added.
