As manufacturer of filter media, we supply framed leaf filters for vertical pressure leaf filters, horizontal pressure leaf filters and horizontal plate (disc) pressure filters.
With horizontal and vertical leaf filtration, the slurry is pumped under pressure into a vessel that is fitted with a stack of vertical leaves that serve as filter elements. Each filter leaf has a centrally located neck at its bottom which is inserted into a manifold that collects the filtrate. The filter leaf is constructed with ribs on both sides to allow free flow of filtrate towards the neck and is covered with coarse mesh screens that normally support the finer woven metal screens or filter cloth that retain the cake. Instead of the wire mesh or filter cloth, we have a superior alternative.

produces holes in a rigid structure that do not deform, resulting in hole dimensions with very tight and consistent tolerances. There is also minimal hole to hole variation over the entire surface of the leaf filters.
The conically shaped holes ensure that pressure on the leaf filter builds up more slowly, resulting in longer filtration cycles allowing increased production capacity. The electroformed leaf filters have ultra smooth surfaces ensuring the cake will not stick to the screen - resulting in a cake discharge of almost 100%. With little cake residue on the screen cleaning is easy. For vertical plate applications the cake falls off by itself.
As shown in above pictures, the holes have a conical hole shape. With the smallest hole size at the working side of the leaf filters, clogging will be prevented. This means longer cycle times between cleaning, a dryer cake and a more efficient filtration.
