I bought this product for use on holiday, mainly as I am going to the Arctic and did not fancy having to bear my bum to the elements at -6 or more if I happened to be caught short. I had seen them advertised in pink or clear, but saw a review that said they were also in Nato green which I bought, and was glad I chose this. I had already thought about practicing using it before purchase, and they recommend to practice in the shower. This is necessary because you need to get the angle right for best results (flow and aim) and this obviously changes from person to person. Also, it can feel as if it is leaking at the back when it isn't. The plastic is liquid repellent and dries quickly, so there aren't residual drips. Best to later practice in the clothing you are going to wear, eg ski gear. The product allows women to wee standing up, and without removing clothing and works successfully, therefore I would recommend it. It would also be good in unsanitary loos, or squat type ones, as well as in the field. The main drawback I have found is among attitudes of others - "you wouldn't find me doing that" etc. with the idea that this is somewhat perverted, or that people might think you are really a man if they saw you go standing up! If you are sensitive about this sort of thing then maybe it is not for you. I am more concerned about hygiene and avoiding freezing my nether regions. There are also accessories - a tube extender (which may be useful if you have loads of bulky clothing) and a carry case, but I did not buy these.

This has revolutionised my camping trips. I don't have to trek to the toilet block or go in fear of making a mess, I can stand and keep my clothes on to pee in the dead of night. Will come handy on my next boozy weekend away!
Don't know how I'd hike without it now!

Fantastic invention! Only practiced with it in the bathroom at home once before I braved using it fully clothed on a hike. No dribbles, mess or fuss! Absolutely brilliant - now essential for every hike. It will be coming up Kilimanjaro with me in June, that's for sure!
At last, a useful invention for women!

I work outdoors in all weathers with a gang of men and quite often in places devoid of much suitable 'cover'. I'm fed up with literally freezing my backside off and having close encounters with nettles and brambles. I put in a bit of practice with the sheewee at home, in the shower first, then fully clothed in the toilet just to refine the technique, so to speak. I'd just like to add a couple of hints. Women's clothing is designed to be impracticable (don't get me started on that rant), and I believe another reviewer has said this: the trouser/jeans zips are too short, so I would recommend wearing a belt if you don't already. You can slacken off the belt a notch and this allows the top button to be undone to give more room for manoeuvre. Without the belt, the danger is of the trousers falling down round the ankles, thereby defeating the whole object of the excercise.
One last thing - I'm descended from sea-faring and country stock and I'll tell you what they used to tell me: when you are outdoors, always check the wind direction before you start!
