Public Private Partnerships (PPP’s) in South Africa are now entering their second decade and with that the knowledge base of the consultants involved in PPP’s is broadening. Profica has over the past few years been actively involved in a number of PPP’s from the first stage of ‘Request for Qualification (RFQ) through ‘Request for Proposal’ (RFP) to Preferred Bidder stage. Profica has gained the knowledge and experience to manage the PPP procurement process at consortium level as the bid managers or at Design & Construct (D&C) level as the D&C Project Managers.
This project management approach commences at inception with the setting of deliverables in line with the Output Specifications from the client / public entity and continues through the processes ensuring compliance with the requirements of the PPP, interface with the Operations entity, designed, fully costed and programmed accommodation and value for money for the public entity.
In addition to PPP management, Profica has managed a number of RFP bid processes for large complex projects, such as stadia for the 2010 Soccer World Cup.
Profica has successfully managed and delivered PPP projects and has the expertise to successfully manage and deliver other bids within South Africa and abroad.
