As a child, I grew up close to the Kruger National Park and we frequently visited the park which raised a particular interest in wildlife and I often wished that I could capture the memories I have experienced. In 1998 I developed a strong interest in photography, and I bought my first professional camera in the same year. As my experience grew, I became involved in more types of photography and I soon found myself photographing various other events such as the Super 14 Rugby, Absa Curry Cup, Weddings, Disabled Sport Summer Championship, school photos, matric farewell functions, etc.
I have captured memories of various celebrities. Some of which include Desmond Tutu during a visit at the Free State Rugby Union, Peter Soldatos and his last showcasing as fashion designer, Amor Vittone hosting “Soldates in Retrospect” and the Springboks after the 2007 World Cup when they visited the Currie Cup final in Bloemfontein. Some of my sport photos have been published in the Cheetah Sport magazine and utilized in other smaller publications.
I only use professional equipment which if bought new, will set you back as much as a light vehicle. I do in-house printing up to A2 (40X60 cm) on various printing media to obtain the best results and optimum quality.
