Pecan Pie

Crust Ingredients
375ml Flour
125g Cold butter cut into blocks
60ml Caster Sugar
1 Egg
80ml Ice Water


  1. Sift flour and salt together.
  2. Mix butter into dry ingredients
  3. Add Caster sugar and mix together
  4. Beat egg yoke in cold water
  5. Add ½ of above mix to butter and flour mix, mix then add 2nd ½ to mix. If dough is to dry add small amounts of water.

Filling Ingredients
3 Eggs
15ml Milk
250ml Brown Sugar
125ml Golden Syrup
60ml Butter
2.5ml Vanilla flavoring
200g Pecan Nuts


  1. Beat eggs and milk
  2. Heat sugar and syrup over low heat until sugar’s melted, boil further slowly for 3 minutes
  3. Stir in butter and vanilla flavoring
  4. Slowly beat in warm syrup mix to egg and milk mix
  5. Line flat tart dish with dough
  6. Press Pecan Nuts slightly into dough to keep in place
  7. Pour syrup mix over pecan nuts
Server luke warm with beat cream.
