Consignment Stock Controller

MiX Telematics Africa has a vacancy for a Consignment Stock Controller who will report to the Receiving Manager. The position is an established one and has become available due to a resignation. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating consignment controller duties. These will include the recording of reports in terms of stock, that invoices are processed and dealt with accordingly as well as ensuring control in terms of stock levels and stock reconciliations.

Responsibilities

The person will need to:

  • Ensure the coordination of stock control and reports, invoicing and the maintenance of stock levels.
  • Assist and manage fitment centre visits when required and any other Ad hoc office function.

They will do this through:

  • Facilitating consignment and replacement reports to establish which units need to be invoiced.
  • Ensuring that invoice instructions are forwarded and dealt with.
  • That Fitment Centres are visited when required.
  • Ensuring optimal stock levels at fitment centres.
  • Implementing replacement and consignment stock reconciliations
  • Resolving fitment centre queries relating to orders and stock requirements
  • Assisting in terms of all other general office duties.

Must have requirements include:

  • Matric
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Experience in Logistics, preferably a supply chain logistics structure of at least 1 year.
  • Knowledge of EPR System, preferably Navision.
  • Computer literacy with reference to Word and Excel.
  • Individual must be hard working, have the ability to work in a team, be well spoken, have quick response attitude
    and be able to work under pressure.

Nice to have requirements include:

  • Tertiary qualification in Logistics would be advantageous.

Logistics Administrator

Mix Telematics has a vacancy for a Logistics Administrator who will report directly into Senior Manager Logistics. The newly
created position is required due to the increase of Enterprise/ RSA stock movements.
The candidate will be expected to manage the flow or transfer of stock, including minimum levels of stock, stock variances as
well as other office activities regarding stock.

Responsibilities

The person will need to:

  • Ensure all stock related processes, activities and procedures are adhered to.
  • Be assertive and performance driven, with a sense of urgency and accountability.

They will do this through:

  • Actioning and re-routing all stock dispatch requests.
  • Analysing and processing stock availability as well as stock levels and ensure minimum stock levels are correct at all
    times.
  • Co-ordinating and managing the transfer of stock between warehouses.
  • Ensuring the management of stock deliverance. This includes analysis to ensure the correct stock to the applicable
    client on the relevant date.
  • Managing generic office activities.

Must have requirements include:

  • Matric
  • Experience in Logistics, minimum of 1 year. Preferably exposure to a supply chain type structure.
  • Computer literacy in terms of Word and Excel is imperative.
  • Must be assertive, striving for continuous improvement, have the ability to work in a team and be well spoken.
  • Having a sense of urgency, a quick response time and the ability to take ownership is imperative.

Nice to have requirements include:

  • Experience in a similar type industry.
  • A tertiary qualification in relation to logistics.

Hijacked Vehicle Recovered; 2 Suspects Apprehended

Two suspects were apprehended and the vehicle was handed over to the SAPS. A 2007 Mercedes Sprinter vehicle was hijacked in Pimville, Soweto. As soon as Matrix was notified the recovery team was dispatched.
