This service includes asset audits and failure investigations. The audit is conducted by a professional engineer, with experience in both plant design and asset management. The audits will focus on the mechanical and structural condition of the asset, and may be extended to include the determination of capacity limitations of the system.
The audit results could be used to provide insight into the scheduling and prioritization of refurbishment work, highlight continuous improvement opportunities, and clarify the need for an asset replacement program. The audits are usually limited to visual defects be it OEM design inadequacy, maintenance inadequacy and safety inadequacy, and may be expanded to include non-destructive investigative techniques.
The results are presented as a written report with remedial work and continuous improvement proposals and recommendations offered for specific problems and repetitive reliability related failures.
This service includes engineering design from initial problem statement, complete, through to detailed engineering drawings for fabrication purposes.
This scope is applicable from small continuous improvement initiatives through to brown field and green field full capital projects.
Specialist areas include:
Conveyor systems, reclaimers, overland conveyors, and stockpile conveyors.
Fluids transfer systems, water systems and slurry systems, including pump selection, tanks and piping and ancillary equipment.
SSE has developed a range of modular, portable, materials handling systems and process plant systems. The units are fabricated locally and can be assembled rapidly to achieve a versatile range of process options.
These units include hopper feeders, conveyors, crushers, screens, bucket elevators, blending systems, pump systems including tanks and multilevel structures.
Included in this offering are modular conveyor components, drive modules complete with take up, take up tower modules, tail frame modules complete with feed point, overland gantry modules, and overland stringer elements.
These modules can be assembled to suit a variety of applications, from small plant units to overland conveyors. The module design combined with the simplicity of the gantry and stringer units result is a system that can be readily installed on challenging topography, with a minimum of civils preparation.
Where specialist process equipment is required, these components are selected to meet the clients specification, bought out, and fitted into the purpose designed support modules.
The client may elect to purchase a system directly as a turnkey solution or may request that SSE provide the equipment on a rental basis, including site establishment and a maintenance service. A rental service may tailored to include support with operational staff.
