A low–cost family option

Want your family to be covered for

all hospital stays

? Our Bona Plus plan is a low–cost option for families who need comprehensive cover at an affordable price and who are able to access the designated primary care service provider network, CareCross. You´ll be pleased with the unlimited general practitioner consultation benefit, as well as the comprehensive in–hospital benefit offering.

Bona Plus covers hospitalisation, dentistry, psychiatric treatment and radiology, as well as the 27 Chronic Conditions including HIV. It also has unlimited cover for certain out–of–hospital expenses, which are available from

Bona Plus provides cover at 100% of the Scheme Tariff. This means that if a medical service provider charges above this rate, the member is responsible for covering the difference in tariff.

LMS Service Providers

Provides access to a national network of primary healthcare providers for the delivery of these benefits and services to Bona Plus members.

As a member you now enjoy access to ER24’s emergency Contact Centre for the management of any medical emergency. As a Designated Service Provider, ER24 offers members have access to a 24–hour Crisis Counselling line where trained healthcare professionals will assist with anything from HIV/AIDS, trauma, bereavement and rape counselling, to name a few.

HIV/AIDS can be managed very effectively through early diagnosis and together with an effective treatment plan as provided for by the Aid for AIDS (AfA) Programme. By enrolling onto this confidential programme, you will gain access to benefits such as medicine to treat HIV, treatment to prevent opportunistic infections and Ongoing patient support via a Treatment Support Line.

The Scheme has contracted with the following pharmacies as a Preferred Provider network to obtain chronic and acute medication. The Scheme will only pay up to the negotiated dispensing fee.

Pharmacy Direct is LMS’ Designated Service Provider for anti-retroviral medication for members registered on the HIV Management Program.

Perfect cover for the family

Do you have a young family? Are you looking for freedom of choice in terms of out–of–hospital and in–hospital benefits, as well as the safety and security of threshold cover? The comprehensive Titan plan is ideal, as it covers emergencies, basic and specialised dentistry, maternity care, hospitalisation, radiology and psychiatric treatment – as well as the 27 Chronic Conditions. Titan also has a savings facility, covering out–of–hospital expenses. This is available for immediate use.

Titan provides cover at 100% of the Scheme Tariff. This means that if a medical service provider charges above this rate, the member is responsible for covering the difference in tariff.

Platinum Focus from Liberty Medical Scheme is the healthcare plan you need to

enhance your choices in later life

, because it covers you for unforeseen medical emergencies and treatment in the best hospitals by the best specialists. Because there is no MSF facility on the Platinum Focus option, we have introduced the Day–to–Day Extender, a collection of out–of–hospital benefits that are paid from Scheme risk and will no longer be self–funded. Included in this collection of benefits is a casualty benefit, a preventative care benefit, a MRI/CAT scan benefit, a crime trauma benefit and a day procedures benefit.

Although there is no Savings Facility on the Platinum Focus option, we have introduced the Day–to–Day Extender, which is a collection of out–of–hospital benefits that are paid by the Schemeand not from your pocket. Platinum Complete is the ultimate threshold and savings option, offering the best and most comprehensive hospital and day–to–day benefits money can buy. The long list of chronic illnesses covered is not restricted to Prescribed Minimum Benefits and you’ll also be generously covered for a range of in– and out–of–hospital procedures. With the introduction of the Day–to–Day Extender, members have access to cover for a casualties, MRI/CAT scans, day procedures, crime trauma, pregnancy ultrasounds, Liberty Baby as well as a collection of preventative care benefits. All benefits under the Day–to–Day Extender are paid by the Scheme and not your Savings Facility/Self Payment Gap/Above Threshold Benefit. This means total, 100% peace of mind.
