This is a two day preparation course covering Dive Theory as well as Skills and Rescue Assessments. Initially we review all your theoretical knowledge, identifying areas where you need to improve. We then take you into our swimming pool (The Lagoon Aquarium at uShaka Marine World) and our purpose built heated diving pool where we conduct skill circuits designed to improve your demonstrations to the quality expected by the PADI examiner’s on the IE. We also conduct Rescue workshops to ensure that your rescue skills are of an exemplary standard.

The IDC at Calypso is conducted over 9 days. It introduces you to the entire PADI System of diver education and concentrates on further developing your abilities as a professional dive educator.

Having completed the IDC successfully your almost there. The Instructor exam (IE) is conducted over two days at the end of the IDC by an examiner sent out by PADI International.
