Information on Registration:

  • A learner may register to complete the Higher certificate: Diagnostic and Procedural Coding (SAQA Qualification ID 66389) and receive certification.

Example:

  • Basic ICD-10 and CCSA -  Qualification ID: 263975 and 263981, Credits: 10
  • Intermediate ICD-10 and CCSA - Qualification ID: 263975 and 263980, Credits: 18
  • Advanced ICD-10 and CCSA – Qualification 263974, 263977, and 263994, Credits: 42
  • Electives  - Qualification 114972, 117141, 117118, 117215, 118014, 118010, 117141 and 9002, Credits: 30
  • A learner may register to complete each level of the qualification individually and will receive a certificate of completion against the listed Unit Standards which form part of the qualification. This will equate to a Clinical Coding Skill at that specific level.

3. A learner may register only for each course module of a level, and will receive a certificate of completion with no credits.
Credits include ICD-10 and Procedural coding (CCSA) at each level.
