This unique treatment teaches the brain to teach itself, in other words, it helps the individual to improve his/her concentration (cognitive) and to keep it at that level for longer time intervals.  One of the best aspects of this form of therapy is that one gets a measure of performance (improvement).  Each new client has to complete a TOVA (Test of Variables of Attention) before the first treatment and then again once treatment is over.  TOVA is a standard psychometric test that evaluates the following: 1.        Attention, concentration and focus. 2.        Impulsivity 3.        Feedback time (measurement of the time that it takes an individual to see information, to process it and to react on it. 4.        Neurological disorders The test is completed on a computer.   The client has a small clicking device in his/her hand and reacts on information that appears on the screen.  The test results are sent electronically for evaluation.  The type of treatment and its duration is proposed in a full report that is made available to the individual.  Usually 15 to 25 half hour therapy sessions are sufficient.
