Bredel, the world leader in peristaltic hose pumps, announces the heavy-duty SPX thickener underflow pump. Designed for challenging mining applications, the Bredel SPX pump reliably handles a variety of harsh materials, including abrasive heavy metal slurries, corrosive cyanide, copper sulfate and methylcellulose. With flow-rates up to 350 GPM and pressures to 232 PSI, Bredel’s sealless SPX hose pumps can handle the most difficult applications and the harshest environments.

Unlike conventional pumps, the SPX handles the thickener underflow and various metallurgical acid slurries typically used in mining operations without damage to the working parts of the pump. Peristaltic hose pumps are virtually maintenance free with no expensive impellers, liners or mechanical seals to replace, no check valves to clog and no rotors and stators to wear out. In addition, millions of gallons of water can be saved as our hose pumps can handle high solid contents compared to centrifugal type pumps plus there is no need for mechanical seal flush water.

About Bredel

Bredel is the world’s largest manufacturer of hose pumps with the widest range of hose pumps and hose element materials. Today, over 75,000 Bredel positive displacement hose pumps are working non-stop around the globe. With operating pressures to 232 psi and flow rates to 350 gpm, Bredel pumps save time and money by successfully handling the toughest applications.
