Interpersonal attraction is related to how much we like, dislike, or hate someone. It can be viewed as a force acting between two people that tends to draw them together and resist their separation. When measuring interpersonal attraction, one must refer to the qualities of the attracted as well as the qualities of the attractor to achieve predictive accuracy. It is suggested that to determine attraction, personality and situation must be taken into account. Repulsion is also a factor in the process of interpersonal attraction, one's conception of "attraction" to another can vary from extreme attraction to extreme repulsion. Attraction towards a person is positively related to the proportion of attitudes similarity associated with that person, one with similar attitudes as yours was more agreeable with your perception of things and more reinforcing she/he was, so the more you like him/her. Although attitudinal similarity and attraction are linearly related, attraction may not contribute significantly to attitude change.
In some African contexts, spirituality is considered a belief system that guides the welfare of society and the people therein, and eradicates sources of unhappiness occasioned by evil. The traditional meaning of spirituality is a process of re-formation which "aims to recover the original shape of man, the image of God. To accomplish this, the re-formation is oriented at a mold, which represents the original shape: In the 17th and 18th century a distinction was made between higher and lower forms of spirituality: "A spiritual man is one who is either Christian 'more abundantly and deeper than others. After the Second World War spirituality and religion became disconnected, and spirituality became more oriented on subjective experience, instead of "attempts to place the self within a broader ontological context.
Four forms of spiritual practices:
1: Somatic practices, especially deprivation and diminishent.
2: Deprivation aims to purify the body. Diminishest concerns the emotional response of ego-oriented reaction. Examples include fasting and poverty.
3: Psychological practices, for example meditation.
4: Social practices. Examples include the practice of obedience and communal ownership, reforming ego-orientedness into other-orientedness.
All practices aim at purifying ego-centeredness, and direct the abilities at the divine reality. Spiritual practices may include meditation, mindfulness, prayer, the contemplation of sacred texts, ethical development, and the use of mind altering items. Love and/or compassion are often described as the mainstay of spiritual development. Within spirituality is also found "a common emphasis on the value of thoughtfulness, tolerance for breadth and practices and beliefs, and appreciation for the insights of other religious communities, as well as other sources of authority within the social nature
