A stamp of approval was given by the FDA to the Sutter Neuroscience Institute located in Sacramento, California, for a first-of-its-kind Cord Blood Stem Cell Trial for Autism. Working in conjunction with the Sutter Institute for Medical Research, a select few patients with autism will be taking part in a controlled study to assess the ability of an infusion, using a child’s own cord blood stem cells, to help improve language and behaviour of patients with this disorder.
