Two Stage Vacuum Pumps
To meet the requirements of customers operating analytical instruments, freeze dryers, leak detectors, vacuum coaters, mass spectrometers, electron microscopes or for any application where superior vacuum levels with high pumping speeds below 0.1 mbar are required, a radical new philosophy is incorporated into our Speedivac two stage, high specification vacuum pumps.
- Simple to install
- Simple to use
- Simple to service and maintain
These vacuum pumps, designated the Speedivac TRP series, incorporate all the best features of the RV series two stage vacuum pumps from Edwards High vacuum. They are designed for applications requiring superior ultimate vacuum with high pumping speed.
Speedivac TRP pumps offer many special features.
A high vacuum valve in the pump inlet isolates your process from the vacuum pump when the pump is stopped unintentionally. This feature prevents loss of vacuum in your vacuum chamber and avoids contamination of your valuable process. A significant benefit in the event of power failure.
Long life chemical resistant Viton ® seals are fitted as standard on all TRP vacuum pumps. This high tech Du Pont material has superior resistance to heat and chemical attack allowing the vacuum pump in it's standard configuration to be used for many of your aggressive laboratory applications.
Your vacuum pump works better, lasts longer and requires less maintenance.
Speedivac vacuum pumps are supplied with highly efficient exhaust oil mist filters as standard equipment. This essential item, fitted to the vacuum pump exhaust to prevent unpleasant exhaust fumes from entering the working environment, is offered as an accessory by other manufacturers adding an additional significant hidden cost when purchasing their vacuum pumps. On Edwards, Leybold and Alcatel pumps this cost can be as high as R2000.00 per pump.
An added benefit on TRP vacuum pumps is the high flow gas ballast with three preset positions.
When vacuum process gases contain condensable vapours the use of the vacuum pump's gas ballast feature ensures consistently high vacuum levels. Condensation of these vapours within the vacuum pump is minimised ensuring that lubricating oils are not contaminated by the process vapours. The oil quality is maintained, the oil lasts longer and maintenance down time is reduced. The simple to use three position gas ballast control allows the pump to be reconfigured while the pump is running.
Position C: For best ultimate vacuum
Position 1: For pumping processes containing solvent vapours
Position 11: For pumping solutions containing water or condensable vapours.
Speedivac TRP series two stage vacuum pumps are available with pumping speeds from 6 m3 per hour to 90 m3 per hour.
