The Support Room
What does it mean to be online?
Does it mean having a website? Facebook page? Twitter account? LinkedIn profile?
Yes, yes and yes.
These are all really important but they are meaningless until they are meaningful. I will say that again.
Meaningless until they are meaningful.
So, with that in mind, what makes a website, Facebook page or any representation of yourself MEANINGFUL?
Words are the beginning … and the end … and everything in-between. They form the basis of all these wonderfully important aspects like your website, blog, SEO or social media posts.
What happens when someone visits your website? Where do the eyes eventually settle? On the words.
So make them count.
You have 3 seconds to capture their attention before they decide to stay and continue reading or to disappear into the ether. So, how do you make them stay?
Tell a story.
People love stories and I am guessing that you are targeting people, right? Your story is what brought you to where you are today and I bet that it makes for interesting reading. More than that, it is a very big reason as to why you can help your reader. When you map out your content for your reader, it is important to know who they are, what they are experiencing and exactly how you can help them. And then you tell them. Through words – by bringing in your story, your experiences, your reality and your genius.
If you need help putting these words together on your site, we offer some unbelievable kick ass web copy packages written with you and your client in mind.
