A learnership is a work-based route to a qualification, first introduced in chapter 4 of the Skills Development Act of 1998. We place learners at our client’s sites through learnerships as designed by the various government SETAs were Skills En Large Consulting will assume the role of Lead Employer and the client the Host Employer. Learnerships are a primary tool to address the country’s skills shortage and to assist young people to acquire skills that will secure them with employment. We assist our clients with the registration to become members of SETAs within their industries, ensure that they comply with the Skills Development Act and other legislations governing skills within the country. Our hands on approach ensure that the learners are not exploited and that maximum training and desired qualification is achieved. The skill employed at this spectrum is not readily effective but through a specifically designed learnership program, the skill is developed to the required standards as per the skills audit outcome with minimal cost to the company.
