RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL) FOR COMPUTER STUDENTS
RPL is an alternative pathway to ICITP qualifications. RPL is related to learning achieved outside the formal education and training system. In order to recognise prior learning it is necessary to compare the informal or non-formal learning the individual has achieved against the learning outcomes or performance criteria of the course or qualification to which the student is seeking entry; and to determine if the prior learning fulfils some or any of them. For example if you work in a computer repair shop, it is possible for you to know how to repair computers without a formal computer repair certificate. ICITP will recognize your skill and award a qualification to you with a little assessment. Lecturers, Computer Science students, Engineering students may also apply for RPL. RPL costs only $100.
