LED and Efficient Lighting

LED (Light Emitting Diode) bulbs are solid light bulbs which are extremely energy-efficient and generate a high level of brightness, or lumens, for very little power, or wattage at a much cheaper running cost. But they are also focussed lights, meaning that they focus a cone of light at a specific area. This means the smaller wattage globe has a higher brightness.

Switching to LED light bulbs can save up to 30% on your electricity bill!

For example, a standard 60W incandescent light bulb in a passageway in your home could easily be replaced with a 5W LED Lilght bulb. This is a 90% reduction in electricity required to light up the same light fitting. The 60w incandescent would only have lasted 1500hours while the LED will last about 60000 hours.
