Flotation Frothers:

Betachem distributes Dowfroth 200 * and Dowfroth 250 * to Middle East, and Africa region. Betachem manufactures and distributed the BETAFROTH range of frothers which includes the following: Betafroth 271:
Low molecular Butyl glycol ether frother. Flotation of fine coal and graphite.
Betafroth 20:
Alcohol based flotation frother. Normally used where gangue entrainment is not a problem. Flotation of copper sulphides and oxides.
Betafroth 206:
Low molecular weight glycol methyl ether frother. (Same molecular weight as Dowfroth 200). Used where gangue entrainment is a problem and process needs a brittle, well-drained froth.
Betafroth 245:
High molecular weight glycol methyl ether frother. (Same molecular weight as Dowfroth 250). Used where gangue entrainment is a problem and process needs a stable, mobile froth.
Betafroth 466:
Medium molecular weight glycol methyl ether frother (Molecular weigh distribution between Dowfroth 200 and Dowfroth 250). Used where gangue entrainment is a problem and reagent dosing system requires high purity liquids.
Betafroth F, Speciality products:
Most of the products in the Betachem range are speciality frothers designed and manufactured to match the client requirements and processing needs. Frother design is done in consultation with the end user and based on froth characterisation measurements done at the Betachem mineral processing laboratory in Johannesburg (South Africa) or on site using mobile test equipment. This is followed by plant commissioning and optimisation work.
Flotation Collectors
Betachem distributes the following products:Xanthates:
Potassium Ethyl Xanthate, Potassium Normal Butyl Xanthate, Potassium Iso-Butyl Xanthate, Potassium Amyl Xanthate, Sodium Ethyl Xanthate, Sodium Iso-Propyl Xanthate, Sodium Iso-Butyl Xanthate, Sodium Nornal-Butyl Xanthate
Dithiophosphates:
Na Di-ethyl Dithiophosphate, Na Di-Iso-Propyl Dithiophosphate, Na Di-Isobutyl Dithiophosphate, Na Di- Sec-Butyl Dithiophosphate, Na Dicresyl Dithiophosphate
Betacol C, Speciality ranges
Betachem designs and manufacture or distributes speciality products aimed to produce the highest techno-economic return for its users. Research work is done at the ore-processing laboratory in Johannesburg (South Africa) and follows by commissioning and optimisation work on site by experience metallurgical engineers and laboratory staff.
Flotation Depressants:

Betamin D, speciality ranges
Depressants are designed and manufactured in consultation with the end user to target a specific, well-defined gangue flotation problem. Research work is done at the ore-processing laboratory in Johannesburg (South Africa) and follows by commissioning and optimisation work on site by experience metallurgical engineers and laboratory staff.
Flocculants

Betafloc range
The Betafloc range is designed primarily for the mineral processing industry. Flocculants are selected after consultation with the end user, equipment suppliers and on site testing. The Betafloc range includes anionic, cationic and non-ionic polyacrylamide powders as well as powder and liquid coagulants.
Metallurgical services:
Reagent selection and optimisation
A well-staffed and equipped ore-processing laboratory and experienced metallurgical engineers backs up the Betachem products. The laboratory specialises in reagent selection, reagent optimisation and fault analysis.
Site testing:
The company and personnel is experience in designing, setting up and executing reagents test on plant scale. Data analysis is done using accepted statistical methods.
Process Development
The company has experience in process development, commissioning and optimisation of mineral extraction processes. This service is aimed at supporting Betachem product range.
