Shotblasting is a process used to clean, polish or strengthen metal. Under high pressure we either smooth a rough surface, roughen a smooth surface, shape a surface or remove surface contamination.
Heat Treatment is the controlled heating and cooling of metals to alter their physical and mechanical properties without changing the product shape. This process can improve product performance by increasing strength or other characteristics. Aluminium is heat treated for one of the following reasons: softening, hardening or material modification.
Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welding is an arc welding process that uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode to produce the weld. Tig Welding is generally used to weld thin sections of non-ferrous and stainless steel metal such as aluminium, copper alloys and magnesium. This process allows a stronger and a higher quality weld.
Most die castings can be pressure tight, but in some cases impregnation is required. Consulting with AG Die Casting in the early design stages is critical where pressure tightness on products is required. It is generally more difficult to cast larger die castings pressure tight and it will require pressure testing by AG Die Casting to ensure adequate process control. Pressure requirements for die castings are generally in order of 5-15 psi. Pressure in excess of 100 psi will require special cons
