of our papers are made from mulberry bark
following an ancient tradition from the Orient,
and many are imported from Thailand, China and India.
for its durability, mulberry paper is stronger,
more malleable and longer-lasting than conventional paper.
The hard-wearing fibres ensure that paper made from
mulberry pulp does not crack or warp as other papers do,
making it ideal for Arts & Crafts and bookbinding.
Many of our papers can be stitched, embroidered and
printed upon, or even dampened and moulded into shape.

you know ? In centuries past, mulberry bark was the material on which letters
were written in the Orient.
Furthermore, due to its thick fibres (similar in composition to the papyrus
hemp) mulberry pulp was also
the material of choice for mummifying and embalming. That should tell you something
about just how long it lasts ..!
