Manners 4 Minors is a programme designed specifically for 3 to 8 year olds, aimed at introducing them to the benefits of having good manners and displaying universally acceptable social skills. We cover over 80 topics in our curriculum, which embraces concepts such as ‘Good  sportsmanship’, ‘Whining & nagging’, ‘Feelings’, ‘We are all different’, ‘Bossy boots’ and ‘Help! I’m lost’ – to mention a few.

Through interactive role play, props, puppets and interesting environments together with positive reinforcement, peer encouragement and a carefully designed curriculum, we aim to stimulate an interest in the manners that will extend beyond the school walls and will have an impact on every aspect of our children’s lives.  Through demonstrating emotional responses, which both friends and adults have, to well-mannered children, we have succeeded in producing a product that will enrich the lives of children who participate in the programme and, without doubt, change some children’s lives forever.  Armed with a passionate, skilled and educated team - from the little seed of teaching basic manners has evolved a life altering programme which will assist any child to grow in self-esteem and confidence in himself and pride in his ability to act appropriately in situation.  Each lesson is developed to introduce the child to a new concept or manner using our hand puppets, Caring Kurt, Princess Penny, Boastful Betty and Rodney Rude.  Role play is used to demonstrate to the children the consequence of using the good manner, i.e. what they can expect in response to using the manner and, conversely, what they can expect if they don’t!  The lesson is discussed on an emotional level and the children leave the lesson with a clear understanding of the life skill, the result of the choice they make and also, most importantly, with a conscience.  Weekly progress reports are e-mailed to the parents to create synergy between the home, school and the lesson.
