Thrive is fully accredited by ETDP Seta (No. ETDP7343) and offers the following training courses:
Comprehensive SDF training (3 days)
This is a highly interactive and participatory workshop which includes the use of workmats, templates and activities; allowing the Learner to draw their own conclusions and create their own learning path. This ensures outcomes-based, adult learning with an emphasis on integration and understanding. Learners will be able to implement Skills Development in a strategic, integrated way in order for the benefits of the Skills Development Act to be unlocked. By the end of this 3-day course Learners will be able to:
* Fully understand and communicate the philosophy and essence of the Skills Development Act & strategy and its impact on your organisation.
* Define a full, relevant skills development process within your company, ensuring maximum benefit for all stakeholders.
* Implement and facilitate skills development practices - including coordination, quality assurance and education.
Assessor Training (2 days)
This high-impact and interactive course will take you through step-by-step the practicalities of the assessor roles and functions. We ensure the theory is covered at the beginning of the course, allowing us time to simulate your environment and your particular challenges. We will practically go through each step of the assessment process and ensure that a lot of your own POE assessment is completed through the course. Sample assessment templates, tools and documentation will be made available for you to use.
Making Sense of Seta Accreditation (1 day)
This course will give Learners relevant and applicable information so that they can sensibly and realistically apply the structures and opportunities to their situation and to their training business. Small groups mean that we address individual needs and scenarios and learners leave armed with all the information and tools they will need to complete your application sensibly and accurately.
How to claim your levies back from Seta (1 day)
This workshop will ensure that your Skills development administration is right on track.... It covers Workplace Skills plans (WSP); Annual Training reports (ATR) and everything you need to know to get your levy back. We will demonstrate practically & realistically how to meet and exceed the Seta's expectations and how to get up to 70% of your money back.
Training committee awareness training (1/2 day)
Companies regularly set up representative skills development or equity committees. However, members often have had little exposure to this environment and their role and responsibilities on such a committee. This leaves a skills and awareness gap that needs to be filled in order for the committee to operate effectively. This workshop is designed to provide relevant information to members of the Training committee - including their role and responsibilities - as well as give some theoretical background to the Skills Development environment. This will be customised to ensure relevance to the company's environment.
