Synergy Freight was recently audited by Integra Scores and achieved the
Ownership 27, Employment Equity 25, Preferential Procurement 25 and Socio-Economic Development 25, as a result of such, we are now rated as a LEVEL 1 CONTRIBUTOR TO B-BBEE and in addition is a value-adding enterprise. Our recognition procurement level is 168.75% and this means that for every R100.00 a client spend with Synergy, the client will be able to claim a procurement spend of R168.50.
Synergy Port Operations
Due to the growth in this area and continued support from our existing clients, we decided to introduce a name that is more appropriate in regards to the operation and services provided.
We are pleased to announce, effective 1 December 2010, the new division will be introduced as Synergy Port Operations which will concentrate on:
Ships Agency, Bulk loading and discharge of vessels, Project Cargos and Break bulk cargo.
Cape Town Office Move Premises
Cape Town moved premises from the centre of the city to No 4 Foregate Square, Harbour Road, which is virtually on the harbour.
Johannesburg Office Turns 5
2010 marks the fifth anniversary of the Johannesburg branch, which opened
its doors in May 2005. The branch has grown steadily, accelerating growth
on a yearly basis and currently the staff compliment is at 17.
Brenda Mungal recently celebrated her 10th anniversary and Mike Davis his
5th congratulations to both.
We welcome Learnership staff, Mbali Dlamini in Groupages, Sandi Mpofana in
Accounts and Thobile Mhlonga in Imports.
Zandile Nene was promoted to Groupages and Pam Mkize took over as
Receptionist. Patience Mokoa joined as Receptionist and Godfrey Maingo as
Import Clerk both at our Jhb branch.
Trevor Whittles at our Cape Town office is taking early retirement and we
wish him well. He will be replaced by Jason Louw as Marine Supervisor.
We congratulate all our staff who recently wrote their exams. Feroza Alli
completed her Customs Modernisation and attained 100% and was ranked Top
Student for her SA Customs Clearing 2.
Synergy has 67 experienced staff and we foresee by early next year growing
to approx 70.
The company donated in 2010 to Westridge High School, soccer balls as well
as shirts for their 2011 matric pupils.

Cape Town Branch Relocates
In September Cape Town moved premises from the centre of the City to Foregate Square which is virtually on the harbour. The Cape Town office is now better situated to continue providing the high standard of service Synergy is known for.
