libraries with 60GB UDO2 drives can read data written on 30GB UDO1
media and also support mixed UDO and MO drive configurations.This
provides a backward compatible platform that protects the archive
investment and minimizes the cost and frequency of data migration. The
G-Series libraries are controlled through a SCSI interface and include
state-of-the-art features such as dual pickers, hot/warm swappable
drives, and redundant power supplies. Available in a broad range of
configurations, the G-Series family meets workgroup to enterprise
archive requirements. Models include 24 to 638 slots, with fully
populated UDO capacities ranging from 1.5TB to over 38TB.
Entry Level G-Series Libraries
Professional libraries in a compact chassis with 1 or 2 drives, 24 or 32 disk slots, and storage
capacities from 1.44TB to just under 2TB. Available standalone or with 19 inch rack mount kit.
Midrange G-Series Libraries
Solid, dependable optical archives with 2, 4 or 6 drives, 72 to 174 slots and storage capacities
from 4.2TB to 10.4TB. All models are available standalone configurations and the Gx80 can
also be ordered with a 19 inch rack mount kit.
Enterprise G-Series Libraries
Enterprise libraries provide the ultimate in scalability, and reliability. They can be
configured with up to 12 drives and are field upgradeable from 164 to 638 slots, expanding
system capacity from 10TB to 38TB.
The UDO libraries are supported by a long list of independent software solutions
offering a wide range of applications including: data and storage resource management,
content and document management, medical imaging and email archiving.
