Polyslit Converters Moves to Larger Premises
Polyester Film, BOPET
Polyslit, a supplier of PET films and laminates, is a decision to invest in lines required to manufacture PETG and PVC sleeves locally, rather than importing the raw materials from Europe or Asia.
Polyslit is now well into this process, with its line installation complete and start-up scheduled for the beginning of March, at the company’s new larger facility in Alrode, Johannesburg.
This new line is the third biaxial-orientation line in South Africa [?] and, according to Polyslit, places it as the first shrink-film manufacturer on the African continent.
Polyslit’s multi-million Rand turnkey project now facilitates the manufacturing of PVC and PETG film in all its possible derivatives as required by the market.
In addition to this investment, Polyslit has also installed a blown-film line and is about to take delivery of an extrusion coater/laminator.
