MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

One of the first changes I effected as the new principal of Glenmore Primary was to the antiquated prefect system.  My belief is that children are too young to police one another but should rather be mentors of the school community, leading by example, giving assistance to their peers and nurturing those younger than themselves, always willing to put the needs of others before their own.  And so we introduced the Learner Leader-programme.  These learners are chosen, after six months of development and scrutiny, to be the leaders of the Glenmore Primary learner community. In addition they assist the staff and management in the smooth day to day running of the school and to ensure the well-being of all learners.  I say to all Learner Leaders – treat all with whom you come into contact on a daily basis with the utmost respect.  Take on your role as leader with responsibility.  Always display your fidelity and courage in reliability.

School News - Glenmore Primary

We hope that those people associated with the school, over the course of the last fifty years who are still in the Durban area will join us for these happy occasions. Glenmore Primary has great pleasure in hosting two reunion events for past learners, staff and friends of the school. RSVP through the office is essential for catering purposes.
