About Otterskloof Private Game Reserve
Otterskloof Private Game Reserve lies on the border of the Free State and Northern Cape along the majestic Van Der Kloof Dam. Set in a unique part of South Africa, this jewel of the Free State awaits to surprise our visitors. The reserve is set on 13,800-hectares of dramatic Karoo landscape with a unique river ecosystem containing, among others, breeding pairs of Cape clawless otters.
The accommodation is spread over two lodges, each with its own character; the Safari Lodge is the main lodge and offers luxurious catered accommodation in a revamped farm homestead, each room with its own separate entrance. The Bush Lodge is set in a reclaimed hunting outpost and offers a close-to-nature private self-catering lodge with three en-suite bedrooms.
All rooms are equipped with double or single beds, en-suite bathrooms with showers, linen and towels as well as complimentary toiletries, a heater, safe for valuables, and a hairdryer. Rooms are serviced daily and a laundry service is also available.
At Otterskloof Private Game Reserve guests can enjoy night drives, hiking, kayaking, bird watching, game drives, fishing, mountain biking, trail running, and supervised 4x4 trails, among other activities.
