It is my responsibility, as a design practitioner of 25 years, and with the learning curve of some of the biggest design houses, and biggest clients in the southern hemisphere, to provide guidance and advice to my clients.
As a conceptual designer and graphic artist, I never do work that I cannot be proud of. If I cannot show it to future clients,
I would rather decline.
Defining the Requirements::
In this Design Approach, it can be understood that the following will be addressed:
Basic look and feel. ie. Color, shapes..Typographic Appearance:
The kind of type face and typography to be used, and the relationship of type to the overall design.
Rough examples of how elements might work together in order to satisfy what you want, as balanced against what is needed to promote a clear corporate vision on paper, as well as on signage, vehicles and anything that you might like to accomplish in the media sphere of print, TV and web.
Only on presentation of this, is there anything to discuss.

Now, I have done enough excellent work in my life to know this:
The design phase is never easy
The client has to be involved every step of the way.
The market is king, no matter what the client wants, or the designer produces.
In a sense the strategy is no different from war.
