The most commonly wood species we use is meranti and is imported from Malaysia. We use the Select and Better Grade as classified by the Malaysian Grading Rules for Sawn Hardwoods and taking into account, durability, hardness and cost, meranti is most effective wood species available on the world market today.

We only buy from suppliers that certify their harvests as being from a renewable resource.

All our products are also available in South African Pine and Saligna, and exotic wood species like Rosewood, Imbuia and Rhodesian Teak are

Architraves

As soon as the construction portion is finished, the item goes through a vigorous finishing process whereby the stain gets applied and is finished in a hardwearing satin varnish that is applied by airbrush. Architraves are purpose build per opening; - in other words - we measure every door or opening and custom build the architrave to fit only that one position.

Dado Rails

The traditional purpose of a dado rails is to protect the wall from the backs of chairs - but in the modern context they are purely used to create warmth and a clear defined space. The use of dado rails is very effective in brightening up a dreary dull space because of our human tendency to search for order and lines in nature. Dado rails are mounted horizontally on the wall around the perimeter of a room, normally at a height of 900mm.
