The company specializes in
the aspersa (Muller)
snail species. These snails are harvested by hand from the orchards and
vineyards in the Mediterranean belt of South Africa.
The snails are processed in a
HACCP accredited facility that complies with the stringent food safety
requirements of the European Union (EU). The majority of the production is
exported in live form by sea to the EU.
The company is currently
expanding its supply of the local market with value added products in
canned form and vacuumed packed snail meat. The "snails-in-tomato-sauce"
and the snail pate were successfully launched at various food and wine
exhibitions that the company had attended.
