Colorite Polymers offers a wide range of rigid vinyl compounds for blow molding, injection blow molding, injection molding, and extrusion for medical devices and a wide range of general applications. Some of the applications include:

• General-purpose and food-grade packaging such as bottles, vials, film, and sheet.
• General purpose and specialty profiles such as fencing, decking, window lineals, and accessories.
• Electrical applications for appliances, business equipment, computer parts, monitors, and specialty fittings.
• Medical-grade compounds can be formulated for the production of medical devices that require ETO or gamma sterilization. These gamma compounds are designed to resist degradation and discoloration when exposed to gamma ray sterilization. These compounds are noted for their low odor and good early color characteristics. They are formulated to meet USP Class VI Plastic approval. Complete traceability and lot identification of all compounds is maintained.

All of our rigid vinyl compounds offer excellent heat stability and high flow characteristics for ease of processing and high output. Custom color matching is available for all compounds.

In addition Colorite Polymers has the capability to develop custom compounds tailored to specific equipment, application, and requirements. For world-class R&D capabilities, first-rate technical service, and responsive sales assistance, please contact us to discuss your unique application and the technical merits of our Rigid PVC line.

Flexchem Vinyl Compounds

Flexchem is a group of translucent, flexible, non-toxic vinyl compounds which were specifically developed as an alternative to silicone in various applications. This unique product line offers excellent release characteristics, rubber-like compression properties, good burst strength and durability. These formulations utilize a non-phthalate plasticizer system for use in medical device applications.

Radiation Sterilizable Compounds

All components used in the manufacture of the Colorite "G" series are sanctioned by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration for food packaging applications under Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations. A series of vinyl compounds identified as the Colorite "G" series has been developed to resist discoloration and degradation when subjected to gamma ray sterilization.

Radiopaque Compounds

Complete traceability of all components are maintained to comply with GMP requirements for medical applications. These compounds are designed for use as radiopaque striping or to be extruded into catheter tubing. Radiopacity is obtained through the incorporation of barium sulphate in a non-toxic vinyl base. Colorite radiopaque compounds are available in a variety of hardness and opacifier type.

Non-Phthalate PVC Compounds

The Colorite “66” Series is a family of vinyl compounds formulated specifically for the medical device, food and infant care industries where the use of citrate* based, non-phthalate plasticizer is desirable. These citrate formulations possess a low odor characteristic and are available in ethylene oxide and radiation sterilizable grades. The Colorite “66” Series vinyl compounds are formulated using a citrate based.

Clear Extrusion Vinyl Compounds

Clear non-toxic vinyl compounds are utilized by the health and medical industries for the extrusion of various components for the production of devices. Quality control procedures have been instituted to assure the processor of complete traceability as well as consistent and reproducible quality. The vinyl components used in preparation of such medical products must be manufactured to the highest standards of quality and purity.
