South African Surfing pro, Jordy Smith, hit Camps Bay beach on Sunday evening, 9th Jan 2011, for the extreme ‘Red Bull Nightshift.’

Jordy Smith, second best in the world, was joined by 7of his South African and international surfer buddies for some power-packed, adrenaline-fuelled ocean action. The special event saw the surfer pros towed out to sea by jetskis, carrying out high-risk aerial moves, under massive floodlights meters away from enthralled spectators.

The event celebrated Smith’s great accomplishments on his world tour and entertained beach goers with the high-risk stunts. Smith stopped to greet and pose with local fans and surfer enthusiasts after his session on the waves.

Other surfers who took part included Travis Logie and Damien Fahrenfort and Craig Anderson of Australia.

Wow, what a way to end the weekend!
